Frequently asked questions
What ages do you take?
From 6 weeks to 5 years. The home has one mixed-age group, with up to 6 children and 1 adult.
What does it mean that the home is registered?
That the state of Pennsylvania, through DHS and its OCDEL office, has the home registered to care for a group of up to 6 children. The number is at the foot of every page.
Can I see the home before I decide?
Yes. Book a tour and come with your child. It takes about half an hour and you can ask anything.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Zuleyka talks with families in Spanish; Odalis speaks Spanish and English. Stories and songs are in Spanish.
How does tuition work?
It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the days a week. Zuleyka gives you the figures in writing on the tour.
What if my child gets sick?
We ask that children stay home with a fever, vomiting or diarrhea. If a child gets sick here, Zuleyka calls you right away so someone can pick them up.
How many children are there at a time?
Up to 6 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years, with 1 adult. The registration and safety board says the same.
What if the home is full?
We put your family on the waitlist. When a place opens, Zuleyka calls whoever has waited longest first.
